Cambridge’s first ever straw bale gardening company is excited to offer you everything you need to make your gardening successful this year
Growing your own fruit and vegetable is a very rewarding, and often an educational activity. Whether it is a hobby or something you squeeze in, the end results will generally always be the same, enjoying your own home grown produce. We aren’t gifted with the warmest of weather in England however with the right planning we manage to grow tasty fruit and vegetables year on year.
We have carefully put together our straw bale gardening kits bearing all types of gardeners in mind. With all the benefits associated with eating fresh produce I am hoping this new and highly successful method of gardening is going to encourage more of us to give it ago!
WHAT ARE OUR CUSTOMERS SAYING?
SHANICE & NOVA, CAMBRIDGE.
“I loved the idea of our very own straw bale as a feature in our garden, so I placed an order! Delivery took place just 2 days later. The kit and instructions supplied with the bale were well thought out and packaged very nicely. We’ve been tending to our bale daily now for the last week and we’re almost ready to plant our saplings. My daughter loves conditioning the bale with her own little watering can and never lets me forget a day! Not only is this an adorable, charming addition to our garden, but it also allows me to spend time with my daughter doing something that is equal parts exciting and educational. Thank-you MyStrawGarden, we can’t wait to see our plants thrive in the bale!”
“As a fair-weather gardener I found the idea of straw bale gardening rather appealing. It’s also something I thought would interest my 4 year-old daughter who loves pottering round the garden. Once we’d chosen where the bale was going to live we set about the conditioning process. The instructions are clear and helpful and the kit had everything we needed. My daughter’s favourite part has been measuring out the fertiliser and sprinkling it – ever so slowly and carefully – over the bale on the days it’s been required. Our seedlings have now been planted – I didn’t have any pliers to hand so ended up using my secateurs which worked just as well. We chose the Cambridge Bale and are all excited about seeing our little plants grow. The idea of picking my own Pimms accompaniments makes me look forward to summer.”
